Uljin-gun Launches Mobile Healthcare at Public Health Center

Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province (Governor Son Byeong-bok) will implement the 2023 Mobile Healthcare Project for 24 weeks starting from the 10th to reduce the risk of chronic disease onset by improving the self-health management ability of local residents.

Mobile healthcare is a project that promotes healthy living for six months through a mobile app and an activity tracker. The target participants are Uljin-gun residents aged 19 to 64 who own a smartphone, excluding those taking medication for hypertension, diabetes, or dyslipidemia.

During the six months, participants will visit the public health center three times to receive customized health management services based on their health status from a dedicated team consisting of nurses, exercise therapists, and nutritionists. Services include blood tests (blood pressure, blood sugar, LDL, HDL, total cholesterol, etc.), physical measurements (InBody test, exercise guidance, etc.), and nutritional counseling (dietary habit guidance, etc.).

Nam Hwamo, director of the public health center, stated, “Through mobile healthcare, we will do our best to help Uljin residents overcome chronic diseases and realize welfare that moves the heart.”
