Mayor Jeong emphasized, "Disaster safety cannot be stressed enough," and instructed, "Minimize damage along the riverbanks through dredging before the rainy season, and ensure thorough inspections of disaster prevention facilities, including drainage pump facilities, to fully protect the precious lives and property of county residents from summer natural disasters."

During the summer natural disaster preparedness period (March 15 to May 14), Gijang County has formed a pre-preparation T/F team led by the deputy mayor as the head. The team is conducting a full survey of disaster-vulnerable areas within the jurisdiction, such as locations with potential human casualties, and is implementing safety management measures including facility maintenance for vulnerable structures, expansion of disaster warning and alert systems, and establishment of emergency plans.
