KG Mobility announced on the 3rd that it sold 13,679 units in March. This performance marks the highest monthly sales record in over five years since December 2018 (14,465 units). It represents a 59.1% increase compared to the same month last year.
Domestic sales were led by Torres, which recorded the highest monthly sales in 28 months since November 2020 (9,270 units). This is a 74.5% increase compared to the same month last year.
In particular, Torres sold 6,595 units, setting a new record for the highest monthly sales for a single model. The previous single-model monthly sales records were 5,444 units of Torres in January and 5,237 units of Tivoli in October 2015. Since its launch, Torres sales have accumulated to 39,336 units as of this month, nearing 40,000 units.
Exports also increased, with sales rising to Hungary, Belgium, Chile, and other countries, marking the highest record in four months since November last year (4,801 units). This is a 36.7% increase compared to the same month last year.
Meanwhile, KG Mobility is accelerating its global market expansion to increase export volumes. In addition to the KD cooperation project with Saudi Arabia's SNAM, it signed an export contract with UAE's NGT in February. In March, it also signed a KD export contract with Vietnam's Kim Long Motors. Starting with 15,000 units annually in 2024, it plans to export 210,000 units by 2029.
KG Mobility stated, "Torres led the sales growth, achieving the highest monthly sales performance in over five years since December 2018," adding, "We will further increase sales volumes by strengthening global market expansion, including domestic sales and pioneering emerging markets."
