Muan-gun Recruiting Participants for Dementia Family Healing Program

Program Operation at Muan Mulmaji Healing Center

The Dementia Safety Center in Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do, operates a healing program for families exhausted from caring for dementia patients at the recently opened Muan Mulmachi Healing Center.

According to the county on the 3rd, the dementia family healing program will be held for two hours from 2 PM to 4 PM on the 19th, offering various free programs such as forest walking, aroma meditation, and foot bath healing to help participants temporarily escape the stress of busy daily life and caregiving.


Families and caregivers of those diagnosed with dementia or mild cognitive impairment can apply, and mild dementia patients and elderly individuals diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment can also participate together.


The county is recruiting 15 participants until the 10th, and those wishing to participate can register by phone at the Muan-gun Dementia Safety Center.


Kim Seong-cheol, Director of Health Promotion, said, "Through this healing program, we hope the stress of families with dementia patients will decrease, providing an opportunity to care for themselves and improving the quality of life for both patients and their families."
