Seo-gu has designated responsible public officials and consumer food hygiene inspectors who have received prior job training as dedicated consultants by district to establish a professional consulting management system. In the first half of the year, first-round consulting will be conducted for all businesses, and for those with insufficient hygiene management levels, second and third rounds of consulting will be sequentially promoted in the second half of the year.

The main contents of the hygiene consulting include compliance with personal hygiene management according to industry-specific checklists, whether food is reused, food storage standards, cleanliness management of business premises, food labeling, and other key management items. On-site education will be provided regarding improvements after field verification.

Seo-gu supports hygiene supplies for hygiene-vulnerable businesses to help improve hygiene levels and has prepared practical support measures that lead to increased users, such as SNS promotion, for hygiene-excellent businesses.

In addition, Seo-gu plans to link with the Small Business Management Support Center it operates so that business owners can enjoy various customized service benefits.

A Seo-gu official said, “Raising the hygiene level of restaurants and side dish stores, which form the main part of the neighborhood commercial districts, will not only increase the satisfaction of local residents but also serve as a good foundation for revitalizing the neighborhood economy.”

He added, “Residents will be able to use neighborhood restaurants with peace of mind, and it is expected to be a good opportunity to bring vitality to the neighborhood economy.”
