The Fermentation Microorganism Industry Promotion Agency (Chairman Choi Young-il) participated in the 'Mega Show 2023 Season 1' held at the Suwon Convention Center from the 30th of last month to the 2nd of this month.
According to the county on the 3rd, the '2023 Suwon Mega Show Season 1,' the largest domestic exhibition with a total of 6 million participants, allows for on-site sales, distribution, and export market development simultaneously.

This event featured participation from the Fermentation Microorganism Industry Promotion Agency and five local companies including Ijo Traditional Food (traditional jang products), Gardbiri (coffee), Beetle (traditional liquor), Heenari (cheese), and Gochujang Ikneun Maeul (cheonggukjang snacks), who conducted sales and promotional activities.
The county achieved on-site sales of 46 million KRW through participation in this season show, with particularly high interest from housewives in the county's traditional foods such as gochujang and doenjang.
County Governor Choi Young-il stated, "The expansion of the market for fermented foods overall and the broadening of the use of functional microorganisms are highly anticipated to be at the center of Sunchang's future industry," adding, "We will spare no support to increase sales and improve consumer awareness."
Meanwhile, at this exhibition, the Fermentation Microorganism Industry Promotion Agency not only offered tastings of fermented kombucha and sauces but also held various promotional events involving consumer participation to highlight the excellence of processed products using local microorganisms.
