Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, announced on the 3rd that it will hold the opening ceremony of Mudeungsan Park Golf Course on the 4th.
About 100 people are expected to attend the event, including Dong-gu Mayor Im Taek, Gwangju Mayor Kang Ki-jung, city and district council members, representatives of community sports, and members of the Park Golf Association clubs.
The Mudeungsan Park Golf Course features a 9-hole golf course (6,032㎡), along with auxiliary facilities such as a management building and parking lot. Construction began in August 2020 with a total investment of approximately 2.5 billion KRW from national, city, and district funds.
Mayor Im Taek said, “As we enter the era of 100-year lifespans, I expect the Mudeungsan Park Golf Course in Dong-gu to establish itself as an excellent space for seniors' physical activities and communication.” He added, “We will continue to expand community-based sports facilities to meet the expectations of local residents for accessible sports.”
