40s Man Arrested for Luring Girl Home with "I'll Give You a Doll"

A man in his 40s who tried to lure an elementary school girl to his home was arrested by the police.

The Gwangju Bukbu Police Station announced on the 3rd that they arrested a man in his 40s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of abducting a minor.

Mr. A is accused of attempting to take an 8-year-old elementary school girl, Ms. B, from a children's park in Ochi-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, to his home around 5 p.m. the previous day.

According to the police investigation, Mr. A approached Ms. B by offering snacks and said, "If you come to my house, I'll give you a doll," then led her about 500 meters away.

Considering the seriousness of the case, including the victim's young age, the police plan to request an arrest warrant for Mr. A.
