The warrant hearing for Ha Young-je, a member of the People Power Party whose arrest consent motion was passed at the National Assembly on the 30th of last month on charges including violation of the Political Funds Act, is scheduled to take place on the afternoon of the 3rd.


The Changwon District Court in Gyeongnam announced that it plans to conduct the suspect interrogation for Representative Ha around 2 p.m. that day.


According to the prosecution, Ha is accused of receiving 70 million won from a preliminary candidate for the Gyeongnam Provincial Assembly election as a reward for helping with the candidate's nomination ahead of the nationwide local elections in June last year, and a total of 57.5 million won from local government heads and aides under the pretext of operating expenses for regional offices.
