Hayunsoo, Superintendent of Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, Communicates with High School Student Council Representatives

Ha Yoon-su, Superintendent of Education for Busan City, gave a special lecture at the ‘2023 First Semester High School Student Representative Council’ and exchanged opinions with students on educational activities.


On the 1st, the ‘2023 First Semester High School Student Representative Council’ was held at the university theater of Pukyong National University.


The council is a gathering held every year in the first and second half of the year where representatives of high school student councils come together to share excellent cases of student autonomy in schools and to discuss and exchange opinions on educational activities in the school field.


On this day, 149 high school student representatives attended the council, which was operated in the morning and afternoon under the slogan ‘Meet 高, Share 高, Deliver 高! A Student Communication Festival.’

In the morning, participating students were divided into 10 subgroups to discuss the topics of ‘Ways to Cultivate Character’ and ‘Innovative Communication Methods for Future Education.’ To ensure smooth progress, 12 professional facilitators, including Jeong Hyun-jin, adjunct professor at Dongmyung University, assisted the students’ discussion and debate activities.


In the afternoon, a talk concert was held between Superintendent Ha Yoon-su and the students. Superintendent Ha gave a lecture on the 2023 Busan education policy under the theme ‘Faithfully Fulfilling the Basics! Hopeful Busan Education that Nurtures Future Dreams,’ focusing on character-based academic improvement.


Following the lecture, time was spent conversing with the students to hear the vivid opinions of the students as the main subjects of education.


Superintendent Ha Yoon-su said, “This council will be a valuable experience for students to actively participate in school and educational issues,” and added, “I hope these experiences will serve as a foundation for students to grow into mature citizens.”
