On the 3rd, Lee Bok-hyun, Governor of the Financial Supervisory Service, visited the headquarters of Daegu Bank and emphasized that to enhance the convenience for users of financial products for the underprivileged, it is necessary to actively utilize non-face-to-face transaction methods like Daegu Bank's 햇살론뱅크 (Haetsal Loan Bank).
Governor Lee stated, "Those who use financial products for the underprivileged, such as the 햇살론뱅크 program, generally have low income and credit scores but possess a strong willingness to repay," adding, "For those busy with their livelihoods, who value every minute and second, Daegu Bank's non-face-to-face 햇살론뱅크 program has accurately identified and resolved inconveniences faced by financially vulnerable groups, improving accessibility and leading to increased usage."
The 햇살론뱅크 is a 'stepping stone' type product designed to support low-credit and low-income individuals who have used policy financial products for the underprivileged to settle in the banking sector through debt reduction or credit improvement. Those who have used policy financial products for at least six months or are currently using them, and whose loan balance has decreased or credit score has improved, can utilize 햇살론뱅크. The maximum loan limit is 25 million KRW.
In the afternoon of the same day, Governor Lee attended a closed 'Financial Forum on Governance Advancement' held at the headquarters of DGB Financial Group. He urged, "Please continue efforts to improve governance, including checks and balances between the board of directors and management."
