Ottogi announced on the 3rd that it will hold the ‘Sweet Home 26th Ottogi Family Cooking Festival’ at the Gwacheon Seoul Land Picnic Ground on the 13th of next month.
This year, the event will be held with double the number of participants compared to last year (50 teams). Marking its 26th year, the Ottogi Family Cooking Festival is Korea’s largest cooking festival, with a total of about 3,000 families and approximately 12,500 participants. The registration period is from 10 a.m. on the day of the announcement until 8 p.m. on the 23rd of this month. Families wishing to participate can apply through the Ottogi website. The application form requires the name of the dish to be competed with, the reason for participating in the event, and the meaning of the dish to the family. The announcement of participants is scheduled for the 27th of this month.
The event will take place on the 13th of next month from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A total of 100 teams will participate, competing passionately in Korean, Western, Chinese, and Japanese cuisine. Award winners will receive electronic product vouchers worth a total of 12 million KRW, including ▲ Ottogi Award (1 team, 5 million KRW) ▲ Excellence Award (2 teams, 2 million KRW each) ▲ Love Award (3 teams, 1 million KRW each). Special awards added this year (5 teams, 200,000 KRW each) will receive Ottogi Mall coupons worth 1 million KRW. There will also be a lucky draw for travel vouchers to Hong Kong worth 3 million KRW.
Various side events will also be held. There will be a ‘Ottogi Experience Zone’ where visitors can try Ottogi’s new products, and an ‘Ottogi Tasting Zone’ at food trucks where delicious Ottogi products can be sampled, providing a rich variety of activities.
An Ottogi official said, “We are very honored to hold the Ottogi Family Cooking Festival, which realizes Sweet Home through cooking and promotes a healthy family culture, on a larger scale than last year. We will prepare an even more abundant event so that families can create joyful memories and have a more meaningful time through this event.”
