‘7 Years in a Row’ Hankook Tire Selected as GM’s Excellent Supplier of the Year

Hankook Tire & Technology has been named the Best Partner for the seventh consecutive year at the '2022 Supplier of the Year' awards ceremony hosted by the American automaker General Motors (GM).

Now in its 31st year, the 'Supplier of the Year' awards ceremony recognizes outstanding suppliers worldwide who have created innovative and exceptional value among all automotive parts companies doing business with GM.

Hankook Tire was selected as the Supplier of the Year for seven consecutive years based on its quality competitiveness and innovation achievements. The company has maintained a strategic partnership with GM since 2002. In 2021, it signed a contract to supply the off-road dedicated tire 'Dynapro MT2,' which offers optimal driving power, as original equipment tires for GM's best-selling pickup trucks, the Chevrolet Silverado Heavy Duty and GMC Sierra Heavy Duty models.

Currently, it also supplies original equipment tires for Chevrolet models such as the Malibu, Equinox, Trailblazer, and Trax, as well as Buick models including the Encore and Verano.
