The Gyeonggi Content Agency will provide 460 million KRW in production support for eight diverse films.
The Gyeonggi Content Agency announced on the 2nd that it will support the production of feature-length diverse films with a net production cost of less than 1 billion KRW this year, accepting applications until the 21st, divided into the 'Feature Film' and 'Documentary' categories. Up to 100 million KRW will be supported per work.
The feature film category will select about six films regardless of genre and based on films set in Gyeonggi Province. For films set in Gyeonggi Province, the script must be based on or set in Gyeonggi Province, or at least 70% of the filming must take place within Gyeonggi Province.
The documentary category will select about two films, and all feature-length documentary films are eligible to apply. The total support fund is 465 million KRW, and final selections will be made in May after document screening and presentation evaluations by professional production or investment judges.
Since 2017 until last year, the Gyeonggi Content Agency has supported the production of a total of 79 works. Director Lee Ji-eun's "Secret Hill" competed in the 2022 Berlin International Film Festival, while Director Ga Seong-mun's "Dream Palace" and Director Lee Dong-woo's "Sagal" were invited to the 2022 Busan International Film Festival, attracting audience attention.
