Emart is holding a whiskey event again after about 7 weeks since last month.
This event will be held not only at Emart stores but also on the Emart application (app), enhancing purchasing convenience by eliminating waiting times on-site. In-store sales will take place for one day on the 25th, with 1,200 bottles of Balvenie 12 Year DoubleWood (700ml) sold at 110,000 KRW at 52 Emart locations, and 8,400 bottles of Suntory Kakubin (700ml) sold at all Emart directly operated stores for 39,800 KRW.
Sales on the Emart app will open at 10 a.m. on the 27th on the Wine Grab page, offering 900 bottles of Balvenie 12 Year DoubleWood at 110,000 KRW, 660 bottles of Macallan 12 Year Double Cask (700ml) at 108,000 KRW, and 300 bottles of Balvenie 14 Year (700ml) at 178,000 KRW. When purchasing through the Emart app, payment is made via the app, and customers can select the store (Emart directly operated store) and date for pickup.
Detailed information about the event, including participating stores, can be found on Emart’s official Instagram around 5 p.m. on the 24th.
Emart stated that they quickly secured inventory right after the whiskey event held in early last month. Despite preparing a record-high quantity of 6,000 bottles of Balvenie 12 Year for the January event, all were sold out quickly by the morning of the event day at all stores. Suntory Kakubin also sold 60% of the prepared stock within two hours, with over 10,000 bottles sold on the day.
Last year, Emart’s whiskey sales increased by 30% compared to the previous year, and sales have risen by 20% through the 22nd of this year.
