Kim said, "(If I become party leader) I will contribute to the new development of Changwon and Gyeongnam," and opened by saying, "The birth of the Yoon Seok-yeol government is an even greater blessing for Changwon."
Kim criticized the Moon Jae-in administration's nuclear power industry abolition policy, saying, "(The Moon administration) absurdly destroyed the once-thriving nuclear power industry based on superstitious myths after watching a movie, and then declared the abolition of the nuclear power industry," and added, "If they had not interfered, not supported, and just left it alone at that time, it would have developed further."
He continued, "President Yoon has rebuilt the nuclear power industry and hit the jackpot in the defense industry," and emphasized that "people from all over the world are visiting Changwon one after another to see Korea's defense industry, marking an opportunity for a leap forward. To develop this opportunity, there must be a messenger," highlighting himself as the right candidate for party leader.
Kim said, "Over the past few years, the party had been shrinking after consecutive defeats in various elections, but party members sacrificed for the country and the party to regain power," and gave credit to the party members present, saying, "All of you here are the greatest founding contributors," receiving much applause.
Kim said, "I will become the party leader who can uphold the roots of traditional conservatism and must achieve labor, pension, national defense, and judicial reform," and added, "For reform, I will eliminate internal discord through solidarity and unity in all aspects, including talent recruitment."
