[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Ulsan City has launched a public contest for the nonprofit private organization support project this year.
On the 13th, Ulsan City announced that it will hold a public contest for the "2023 Nonprofit Private Organization Public Interest Activity Support Project" to lead the healthy growth of nonprofit private organizations, promote public interest activities, and foster regional development.
The total scale of this year's support project is about 500 million KRW, the same as last year.
The types of public contest projects include six fields: △ Social Integration △ Social Welfare and Birth Promotion △ Civil Society △ Ecology and Environment △ Unification and National Security △ Social Safety.
Eligibility to apply is nonprofit private organizations registered in Ulsan City as of the announcement date on the 13th, and selected organizations will be supported with project funds ranging from a minimum of 3 million KRW to a maximum of 15 million KRW per project. However, organizations must bear at least 5% of the subsidy amount as their own contribution.
Organizations that are currently receiving or scheduled to receive subsidies from other administrative agencies such as central government ministries or district/county offices for the same or similar projects are excluded from eligibility.
To apply, organizations must prepare an introduction letter and a project plan and submit them by visiting the Ulsan City Hall Autonomous Administration Division or by mail from the 15th until 6 p.m. on March 6th.
The Ulsan City Public Interest Project Selection Committee will make the final decision considering the project's public interest suitability, feasibility, originality, economic efficiency, ripple effect, resolution of social issues and satisfaction of residents' needs, and recent public interest activity performance.
The selection results will be posted on the Ulsan City website at the end of April and individually notified to the selected organizations. The project implementation period this year is from May 1 to November 30.
