[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] The Korea Exchange announced on the 10th that it held an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders and appointed Kim Gi-gyeong, a specialist at the KOSDAQ Market Headquarters of the Korea Exchange, and Lee Gyeong-sik, former Deputy Director of the Financial Supervisory Service, as full-time directors with a three-year term.


Newly appointed full-time director Kim was assigned as Head of the Management Support Headquarters, and new full-time director Lee was appointed as Head of the Derivatives Market Headquarters.


Kim, who graduated from Seoul National University Law School, joined the Korea Exchange in 1995 and has served as Head of the Market Surveillance Department at the Market Surveillance Headquarters, Head of the Listing Department at the KOSDAQ Market Headquarters, Head of the Stock Market Department at the Securities Market Headquarters, and Deputy Head of the Management Support Headquarters and KOSDAQ Market Headquarters.


Lee graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Economics and joined the Securities Supervisory Board (now the Financial Supervisory Service) in 1992. He has held positions such as Deputy Director of the Capital Market Supervision Bureau, Director of the Asset Management Supervision Bureau, and Director of the Capital Market Supervision Bureau at the Financial Supervisory Service.
