Hansando Ship Donates Scholarship Funds to Hansan Elementary and Middle Schools

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] The crew members of the Hansando ship, a training support vessel under the Navy Education Command, participated in the graduation ceremony of their sister schools, Hansan Elementary and Middle Schools, on the 10th and presented scholarships.


The Hansando crew held the "2nd Hansando Ship Love Sharing Bazaar" on the 3rd inside the ship to raise funds for scholarships for Hansan Elementary and Middle Schools. They delivered 810,000 KRW, including about 700,000 KRW from the bazaar proceeds and voluntarily donated funds, along with Navy souvenirs, to the students.

After attending the graduation ceremony of Hansan Elementary and Middle Schools, the crew visited Jeseungdang located on Hansando Island to honor Admiral Yi Sun-sin’s patriotic loyalty and reaffirm their commitment to protecting the nation's maritime sovereignty.


Lieutenant Colonel Seo Yong-hoon, captain of the Hansando ship, said, “It was heartening to see the bright and healthy appearance of the students who grew up on Hansando, where the spirit of Admiral Yi Sun-sin is deeply rooted.” He added, “Moreover, the visit to Jeseungdang was a good opportunity to establish the crew’s readiness for decisive battle and to cultivate a constant awareness of the battlefield.”
