[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] Ewha Womans University will select a total of 1,075 students in the 2023 academic year regular admissions. This number is slightly increased compared to last year, and all departments except the College of Art and Design will be recruited only in the 'Na' group.

Ewha Womans University will accept applications for regular admissions from December 29 to January 2. The number of students to be selected in this regular admission is 1,075, slightly up from 1,043 last year.

The integrated selection for the CSAT (College Scholastic Ability Test) track will recruit a total of 290 students (150 in the humanities track and 140 in the natural sciences track). Selection will be made according to the CSAT test areas into humanities or natural sciences tracks regardless of the department. Successful candidates in the integrated selection will belong to the Hawkma College of Liberal Arts, where they can take various major courses and thoroughly explore their career paths and aptitudes before choosing the major that suits them best.

After a one-year exploration period, at the end of the first year, students can freely choose their desired department (major) among the College of Humanities and Sciences, College of Social Sciences, College of Natural Sciences, ELTEC College of Engineering, College of Business Administration, College of New Industry Convergence (excluding the Department of Physical Education), and Scranton College (International Studies Department) without any separate restrictions such as CSAT track, first-year grades, or department quotas. Furthermore, the top 50% of the initially admitted students by track will receive a full four-year scholarship, and those who wish will be offered the opportunity to reside in the dormitory (E-House) as additional benefits.

The number of students selected by department and major through the CSAT regular admission is 449, which is also an increase from 417 last year. Along with each department of the College of Education, the Department of Medicine, School of Nursing, Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences, Department of Pharmacy (Pharmacy Major and Future Industry Pharmacy Major), and the Department of Artificial Intelligence in the College of Artificial Intelligence (22 natural sciences and 8 humanities students), this year the Department of Data Science (20 natural sciences and 10 humanities students) also provides opportunities for diverse students through department-specific selection.

In particular, the Department of Data Science plans to select 25% of its admission quota from humanities students and provide an interdisciplinary curriculum including statistics, computer engineering, and business administration to cultivate data science experts with multidimensional capabilities and practical problem-solving skills.

Ewha Womans University operates a 'full-cycle scholarship system' that allows students from undergraduate freshmen to master's and doctoral candidates to receive scholarship benefits throughout all educational programs. It supports over 400 types of internal and external scholarships and endowed scholarships, providing various motivations to students through scholarships reflecting Ewha Womans University's talent ideals, in addition to general university scholarships for financial hardship and academic excellence.

Especially from the 2023 academic year, special development scholarships such as the H Artificial Intelligence and H Data Science scholarships have been established. The H Artificial Intelligence scholarship is awarded to the top 50% of admitted students in the Artificial Intelligence Department from both early and regular admissions (for 4 years) and all initially admitted students (for 1 year). The H Data Science scholarship is similarly awarded to the top 50% of admitted students in the Data Science Department from both early and regular admissions (for 4 years) and all initially admitted students (for 1 year), covering the full tuition for the relevant semester.
