[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Mercedes-Benz Korea announced on the 2nd that the 10th generation E-Class business sedan has achieved sales of 200,000 units for a single model for the first time in the domestic imported car market.
The 10th generation E-Class was officially launched in the domestic market in June 2016. In July 2019, just three years later, it recorded cumulative sales of 100,000 units for a single imported car model for the first time. According to the Korea Automobile Importers & Distributors Association (KAIDA), it has maintained its position as the best-selling model by ranking first in imported car sales for five consecutive years since 2017.
Mercedes-Benz Korea cited the exterior design and comfortable driving experience as the reasons why the 10th generation E-Class has continued to receive love from domestic customers since its launch.
Since Korea has been the number one country in global sales of the E-Class sedan from 2018 to 2021, Mercedes-Benz headquarters recognized the importance of the Korean market and actively incorporated feedback from domestic customers.
Before the launch of the New E-Class, Mercedes-Benz headquarters held a car clinic in Korea to directly hear the voices of Korean customers about the product, collecting feedback from customers and reflecting it in the product.
Thomas Klein, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Korea, said, “Achieving sales of 200,000 units of the 10th generation E-Class is a result made possible by Korean customers who chose and supported Mercedes-Benz, and I sincerely thank them.” He added, “Providing the best products is our mission, so we will listen more closely to the voices of domestic customers and strive to satisfy them with the highest quality and service.”
