[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Remote medical platform DoctorNow announced on the 1st that it won the Best Good Influence App Award of the Year at the '2022 Google Play Best of Awards.'

Google Play selects the most loved apps by users each year in categories such as daily life, self-development, and games.

DoctorNow collaborates with over 2,500 affiliated medical institutions nationwide to provide non-face-to-face medical consultations and prescription drug delivery services. In particular, during the first half of this year when COVID-19 cases surged due to the spread of the Omicron variant, it attracted attention by recording up to 1 million new downloads per month.

At that time, DoctorNow proactively operated a policy of free medical and dispensing fees in accordance with the government's announced COVID-19 home treatment guidelines. It also provided free delivery of prescription drugs to ensure quarantine safety for confirmed patients and the general public.

Jang Ha-neul, Product Owner of DoctorNow, said, "This award is thanks to many people empathizing with DoctorNow's efforts to resolve inconveniences in medical services," adding, "We will continue to strive to provide the best satisfaction to users by presenting innovative and differentiated services."

Since its launch in December 2020, DoctorNow has recorded 1.4 million cumulative members and 7 million cumulative uses.
