[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Eun-mo] Dongwon Group announced on the 24th that it has carried out CEO-level personnel appointments to promote new businesses centered on the newly launched holding company and to strengthen expertise in each business division. The effective date of the appointments is the 1st of next month.
Dongwon Group announced on the 24th that President Lee Myung-woo, who has served as CEO of the Dongwon Industrial business division, has been promoted to Vice Chairman and appointed as Vice Chairman of Dongwon Industrial's business and holding divisions. Vice Chairman Lee will be responsible for strengthening Dongwon Group's future new businesses, such as eco-friendly smart salmon farming and smart port projects.
Additionally, Min Eun-hong, who previously worked at P&G and currently oversees management at Dongwon Industrial, has been promoted to Senior Vice President and appointed as CEO of the Dongwon Industrial business division. Senior Vice President Min will serve as co-CEO of Dongwon Industrial alongside Park Moon-seo, who was appointed CEO of the Dongwon Industrial holding division on the 2nd of this month, and plans to expand the global seafood distribution business.
Kim Sung-yong, CEO of Dongwon Home Food's ingredient division, has been appointed as the new CEO of Dongwon F&B. The newly appointed CEO Kim is a food business expert with experience in sales and marketing at Dongwon F&B and Dongwon Home Food, and is expected to bring new vitality to Dongwon Group's food business.
Jung Moon-mok, Vice President and CEO of Dongwon Home Food's FS dining division, has been promoted to President and appointed as CEO of the combined ingredient and FS dining divisions. Through this, Dongwon Home Food will restructure its three divisions?ingredient, FS dining, and meat?into two divisions: ingredient & FS dining and meat.
Kim Jae-ok, CEO of Dongwon F&B, will serve as chairman of the newly established ESG Management Committee within the holding company Dongwon Industrial, taking charge of strengthening ESG management across Dongwon Group. Vice Chairman Shin Young-soo of Dongwon Farms will have his role changed to Vice Chairman of Dongwon Home Food.
A Dongwon Group official stated, "We have conducted CEO-level management appointments to nurture new businesses and strengthen expertise in each business division in order to actively respond to the uncertain business environment."
