Hook Entertainment denies breakup rumors with Youn Yuh-jung following search and seizure investigation as "baseless"

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Hook Entertainment has come under investigation with a search and seizure, and has been caught up in breakup rumors with actress Yoon Yeo-jeong.

On the 17th, a media outlet reported, "After deep consideration, Yoon Yeo-jeong expressed her intention to leave the agency." It was argued that since she had a verbal contract and had worked together based on trust with the current agency, it is difficult to view this as a 'contract termination.' Regarding this, Hook Entertainment denied the rumors, stating, "Yoon Yeo-jeong has not expressed any intention to leave the agency," and "The breakup rumors are groundless."

Earlier, on the 10th, the Major Crimes Investigation Division of the National Police Agency conducted a search and seizure at Hook Entertainment's office building in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. It is known to be related to embezzlement allegations involving some executives. Regarding this search, some speculated about the involvement of Mr. K, who announced a breakup after actress Park Min-young was caught up in dating rumors.

Yoon Yeo-jeong, who debuted as a TBC 3rd generation public recruitment talent in 1966, received the Best Supporting Actress award at the American Academy (Oscar) Awards last year for the film "Minari," becoming the first Korean actor to do so, and attracted attention by winning 42 awards at major film festivals worldwide. She then solidified her position on the international stage with an impressive performance in the Apple TV series "Pachinko."
