[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Busan City will publish special editions of its English newspaper ‘Dynamic Busan’ and Japanese newspaper ‘ダイナミック釜山 (Dainamikku Busan)’ on the 11th, ahead of BTS’s ‘2030 Busan World Expo Hosting Support Concert’ scheduled for October 15.


This edition was produced to commemorate and support BTS’s 2030 Busan World Expo Hosting Support Concert ‘Yet To Come in BUSAN’ and to provide various information about Busan and the BTS concert to domestic and international fan club ARMY and tourists visiting Busan to watch the performance.


A total of 50,000 copies will be published, including 40,000 copies of the English newspaper and 10,000 copies of the Japanese newspaper.

The special edition is produced as a 4-page tabloid so that ARMY and tourists can easily carry it and keep it as a memento.


The main contents include ▲ checklist before watching the performance ▲ tips for using Dongbaek Taxi ▲ one-day subway pass ▲ public free Wi-Fi ▲ tourist interpretation guide phone numbers, and other useful information needed for attending the concert.


The special edition also includes ‘BTS Busan Sacred Sites,’ which are of great interest to ARMY and tourists. It introduces tours of Mandeok-dong, the hometown of Jungkook; Dadaepo Beach, visited by Jimin from Hoedong-dong, Geumjeong-gu; Busan Museum of Art, visited by RM; Busan Citizens Park, where V left a photo proof; and information on Busan restaurants frequented by BTS members.


To provide more viewing information, QR codes are inserted throughout the special edition. Scanning the QR codes with a mobile phone camera links to the BTS Busan concert information page on Busan City’s English website and the Busan tourism website ‘Visit Busan.’


The city plans to distribute the foreign language special editions in advance to local accommodations and tourist spots, and on the day of the concert, October 15, they will be distributed around the Asiad Main Stadium, Busan Port North Port where Live Play is held, and near the special stage at Haeundae Beach.


The special edition is also produced as an e-book and can be found in the e-book category on Busan City’s website.


Na Yoonbin, the city spokesperson, said, “This special edition was produced to commemorate and support the BTS Busan concert and to provide ARMY and tourists with various information about the global city Busan and the BTS concert.” She added, “The city is deploying administrative capabilities in all areas to ensure the concert is successfully held.”
