[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Busan City will operate the ‘Busan City Integrity Week’ from September 19 to 22 this year to realize a “clean and fair city Busan.”
During this Integrity Week, the city will conduct ▲Integrity Campaign on the way to work ▲Integrity Education ▲Busan Integrity KakaoTalk Channel Launch Event ▲Integrity Together Campaign across the city ▲Self-assessment of integrity level for high-ranking officials ▲Relay integrity mission execution, among other activities.
On the first day, the 19th, an integrity campaign will be held targeting employees on their way to work. During the integrity education session, the mayor will deliver an integrity message expressing commitment to clean administration, employees and executives will complete an integrity slogan puzzle mission together, and education on the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act will be provided.
On the 19th and 20th, a promotional event for the newly launched ‘Integrity Busan’ KakaoTalk channel, which delivers real-time news about integrity administration, will be held.
First, from 2 p.m. on the 19th, 16 types of ‘Cheongiryumi’ KakaoTalk emoticons will be distributed free of charge to 25,000 channel subscribers. On the 20th at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., a roulette event will be held in the first-floor lobby of City Hall for the first 100 visitors, awarding ‘Cheongiryumi’ goods.
On the 21st, together with the Busan Regional Headquarters of the Korea Transparency Organization and other institutions belonging to the Integrity Society Public-Private Council, an Integrity Together Campaign will be held near Seomyeon Station. About 20 public institutions will also conduct campaigns at nearby multi-use gathering places to promote Busan’s commitment to integrity to citizens.
During Integrity Week, a self-assessment of integrity levels will be conducted for high-ranking officials, and relay integrity missions involving both high-ranking officials and employees will be carried out.
Chairman Sangwoo Han of the Audit Committee said, “We prepared Integrity Week to reflect on the meaning of integrity and to publicly and internally announce Busan City’s commitment to practicing integrity,” adding, “We will continue to make efforts to establish a culture of integrity.”
