This Chuseok holiday is expected to see a 10.4% increase in travelers compared to last year, as it is the first holiday without social distancing measures since the spread of COVID-19.
Looking at the distribution of travel volume during the Chuseok holiday, the highest number of travelers was on Chuseok day (the 10th) with 7.58 million people. This was followed by the day after Chuseok, the 11th, with 6.24 million people; the day before Chuseok, the 9th, with 6.09 million people; the weekday, the 8th, with 5.74 million people; and the last day of the holiday, the 12th, with 4.52 million people.
