According to Homeplus on the 8th, sales of convenient cooking products during the Lunar New Year holiday rose by 25% compared to the previous week, and refrigerated ready meals increased by 32%.
Homeplus is offering various food products at discounted prices until the 14th. They are showcasing dishes such as Jinju-style Yukjeon (pan-fried beef), assorted Jeon (Korean pancakes), three-colored namul (seasoned vegetables), Songpyeon (rice cakes), and traditional rice cakes. Additionally, cheese barbecue chicken and Koshihikari sushi sets are available at discounted prices.
A Homeplus representative said, “As the number of single-person households increases and ways of enjoying holidays diversify, the demand from customers enjoying the holidays using ready-to-eat meals and convenient foods is rising.”
