[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Gyeongbuk Province held the 2nd Marine Academy over two days, from the 24th to the 25th, at the Grand Auditorium of the East Sea Industrial Research Institute.

This year’s 2nd Korea Marine Academy was conducted for about 50 employees from marine science research institutions and public officials.

On the first day, the 24th, the schedule began with an opening ceremony, followed by a lecture titled "The Table that Caught the Sea" by Monk Beopsong, and a tour of the National Marine Science Museum.

On the following day, the 25th, the program continued with a lecture "Taking Dictation from the Sea" by writer Kwon Seonhee, a tour of the Gyeongbuk Marine Science Complex, and marine leisure experience programs.

This Marine Academy was organized to enhance marine knowledge and awareness through systematic and diverse education and experiences about the East Sea region, following the positive response from the first Marine Academy held in May.

Kim Nam-il, Head of the East Sea Regional Headquarters of Gyeongbuk Province, said, “We will continue to operate marine education and experience programs like the Marine Academy to encourage many people to take an interest in the East Coast. The 3rd Marine Academy, scheduled for the 31st of this month, has also been prepared with a rich program, so we ask for your great interest.”
