2019 2nd Semester Booyoung Group Woojung Education and Culture Foundation Scholarship Award Ceremony

[Asia Economy Reporter Noh Kyung-jo] The Woongjeong Education and Culture Foundation of Booyoung Group announced on the 24th that it will provide a total of more than 340 million KRW in scholarships for the second semester of 2022 to 85 foreign students enrolled in domestic universities.
Since 2010, the Woongjeong Education and Culture Foundation has been awarding scholarships twice a year to foreign students from Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Scholarship recipients are selected through a comprehensive evaluation of academic performance, study attitude, achievement, financial need, and future plans for social contribution. To date, 2,200 foreign students from 41 countries have received a total of 8.6 billion KRW in scholarships.
A representative of the Woongjeong Education and Culture Foundation said, "We hope that the scholarships will help foreign students studying in unfamiliar environments to grow into global leaders who connect their home countries, Korea, and the world when they enter society in the future."
Booyoung Group has built and donated Woongjeong dormitories and educational facilities to more than 130 locations. Additionally, it has donated funds during domestic and international disasters and engaged in various philanthropic activities such as distributing 10 million free copies of history books, building and donating senior training centers, and operating rent-free daycare centers. Booyoung Group, which practices Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management, has donated over 1 trillion KRW to date.
