Recruitment of Participants for Flea Market and Food Trucks at 'Mokpo Music Play'

[Mokpo=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Hyeong-seok] With the '2022 Mokpo Music Play' event, held in Mokpo, the 'starting point of Hallyu + city of music,' just over 40 days away, Mokpo City is accelerating its efforts to promote the event.

On the 24th, the city announced that it is recruiting participants for the flea market and food trucks to ensure the successful hosting of the event.

The flea market will provide one booth per company, and in line with the music festival theme, companies related to music such as music antiques, records, CDs, LPs, sheet music, rare albums, and music books will be recruited.

Food trucks must have all the required business permits and be able to cook and sell food directly inside the truck; simple reheated foods such as retort pouch meals are excluded.

Applications can be submitted by downloading the application form from the Mokpo Music Play website (Event Information - Notices) and submitting it via Naver Form or email by the 5th of next month. For more details, inquiries can be made through the Kakao Channel (search for Mokpo Music Play on KakaoTalk).

A city official stated, "Since Music Play is a music festival, we plan to recruit flea market vendors related to music to attract the interest of music enthusiasts," adding, "We also plan to prepare clean and convenient food for the food trucks that can be enjoyed along with the music."

Meanwhile, Mokpo Music Play is drawing nationwide interest and participation, having closed applications for the 'National Audition Contest' and preparing for the first and second preliminary rounds, semifinals, and final finals. The event is also pushing forward with the goal of securing both distinctiveness and identity through the 'National Dance Battle' and the 'Nanyeong Jazz Theater,' a festival celebrating Mokpo's modernity.
