HanmiScience Appoints Baek Dong-tae, Former Samsung Electronics Vice President, as Vice Chairman and Head of Strategic Planning Office

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Hanmi Science, the holding company of Hanmi Pharmaceutical Group, announced on the 17th that it has recruited Bae Kyung-tae, former Vice President of Samsung Electronics (64), as Vice Chairman.

Vice Chairman Bae led major achievements in strategic planning and sales growth in key business areas while serving as General Manager of China, the Middle East & Africa, and Korea at Samsung Electronics.

He was also highly praised for successfully driving organizational innovation and change management through efficient HR and educational reforms as head of the Digital Media HR team at Samsung Electronics.

Along with this personnel appointment, Hanmi Science established a new Strategic Planning Office to lead group-wide strategy formulation and appointed Vice Chairman Bae as its head.

Hanmi Science stated, “Based on Vice Chairman Bae’s leadership, cultivated through diverse fields such as domestic and overseas sales and marketing, management, and organizational management, we plan to strengthen cooperation, communication, and innovation within the group to maximize synergy among affiliates.”
