[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Market Kurly announced on the 11th that it has opened a 'Market Kurly Brand Hall' on RedMart, a Singaporean food e-commerce platform, and started selling Korean food products.

RedMart, established in 2011, is Singapore's number one online food platform. It is a subsidiary of Lazada Group, a leading e-commerce company in Southeast Asia.

The Market Kurly products entering the platform this time include 44 popular frozen convenience foods such as Kalguksu, dumplings, and Tteokbokki. These products, such as Jeonju Veteran Kalguksu, Geummiok Rice Tteokbokki, and Gwanghwamun Mijin Buckwheat Noodles, were exclusively developed in collaboration with famous domestic restaurants and chefs. Considering Singapore's diverse food culture, the export items range from Korean dishes like Siraegi Doenjang Soup to Western dishes such as Scallop Basil Pesto Pasta and Truffle Cream Gnocchi.

Market Kurly plans to gradually increase export volumes and the number of products. It is also considering exporting not only food but also daily necessities, focusing on its private brand (PB) and exclusive products under the 'Kurly Only' label. Using Singapore as a foothold, it is also promoting expansion into other Southeast Asian countries.

Kim Seul-ah, CEO of Market Kurly, said, "We are pleased to introduce excellent K-food under the Kurly name to Singapore, where there is great interest in gourmet food," and added, "As interest in K-food continues to grow, we will do our best to help our food receive greater love in the Southeast Asian market."
