[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Lotte Mart announced on the 18th that it opened its 15th store in Vietnam on the 15th in Vinh City, located in the north-central region of Vietnam.
Vinh City, in north-central Vietnam, is a border trade city adjacent to Laos and Cambodia, a new city with a population of about 500,000 developed under government initiative. Lotte Mart Vinh is located in the city center and is a three-story standalone building with a sales area of 13,223㎡ (approximately 4,000 pyeong).
Considering the surrounding commercial area lacking complex shopping spaces, Lotte Mart Vinh implemented a grocery-focused store with about a 10% higher proportion of food products compared to existing stores. K-food products such as Korean snacks and processed foods were also strengthened. Lotte Mart plans to make this store a representative store of Vinh City by offering large-capacity products targeting coastal tourism and customers near the border, as well as various private brand (PB) products.
