[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] LG Household & Health Care announced on the 14th that it has launched two types of ‘FiJi Fabric Damage-Reducing Laundry Detergents,’ which incorporate technology to reduce deformation and color fading of clothes caused by washing.

Unlike most existing laundry detergents that are mildly alkaline, the new products feature a neutral formula with added fabric protection ingredients. They prevent fabric deformation and color fading after washing, and also contain plant-based surfactants that provide excellent cleaning power to remove everyday stains and odor causes.

To meet the recently heightened customer standards, the products have completed skin tests conducted by ‘Dermatest,’ a German skin testing specialist institution with 40 years of tradition, as well as domestic professional institutions, enhancing safety. They have also obtained vegan certification from the Korea Vegan Certification Institute.

A representative of the FiJi brand explained, “Existing neutral detergents cause less fabric damage and skin irritation but were limited to materials like wool, silk, and knitwear, making them difficult to use for everyday laundry. The new products combine the advantages of neutral detergents with excellent cleaning power, making them suitable to replace existing detergents for everyday laundry of general clothing such as cotton T-shirts and shirts, as well as functional clothing like leggings and training wear.”

The new products will be exclusively pre-launched on GS Shop from the 16th to the 18th at a 50% discounted price.
