Former Professional Baseball Player Arrested for Assaulting Girlfriend on the Street

[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] A former professional baseball player was arrested by the police on charges of assaulting his partner.

On the 29th, the Nowon Police Station in Seoul arrested a man in his 30s, identified as Mr. A, on the spot on the 27th on suspicion of assault.

At around 9:40 a.m. on the 27th, Mr. A assaulted his partner, Ms. B, with fists and feet in front of a store in Sanggye-dong, Nowon-gu, Seoul. It is reported that Mr. A told the police he committed the crime because he was angry after seeing Ms. B with another man.

The police are investigating the detailed circumstances of the incident with Mr. A.
