Lotte ON Selected as Korea's First 'Slack Digital HQ Excellent Company'

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Lotte ON announced on the 24th that it has been selected as the '2022 Global Digital HQ Excellent Company' by Slack, the global enterprise messaging platform, for the first time in Korea.

The Global Digital HQ Excellence Award is given to companies that have achieved significant progress in innovating corporate culture and creating the future work environment by utilizing Slack.

Lotte ON implemented Slack to build a digital headquarters where all teams can work smoothly regardless of physical location, and was recognized for providing a flexible work environment in a hybrid workspace that connects online and offline.

Before adopting Slack, Lotte ON's incident response team had to create a new chat room each time to respond to different service errors, which itself led to work overload. However, after adopting Slack, the team was able to monitor using specific keywords and respond immediately and efficiently to incidents, reducing response time by half.

A Lotte ON official said, "We believe we were selected for this award because of the significant changes and achievements in work speed and a horizontal organizational culture after adopting Slack," adding, "We will continue to succeed in digital transformation in organizational culture and work environment and strive to become a continuously growing platform based on this."
