[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The inauguration ceremony of Seo Gang-seok, the 8th elected mayor of Songpa-gu, will be held on July 1st at 3 PM in the main auditorium of the Songpa-gu Residents' Hall in Samjeon-dong, with about 600 residents and guests in attendance.

Under the slogan "Songpa Running Again! Creative and Innovative District Administration," the official launch ceremony to carry out the duties of Songpa-gu mayor for the next four years is expected to be attended by approximately 600 invited guests, including members of the National Assembly, party committee chairpersons, city and district council members, heads of related organizations, leaders of professional groups, and residents.

The inauguration ceremony will proceed with pre-ceremony events such as cultural performances by the district's symphony orchestra and choir, introduction of distinguished guests, screening of a video containing residents' wishes, the new mayor's oath and inaugural address, presentation of congratulatory flower bouquets, reading of the presidential congratulatory message and viewing of the Seoul mayor's video message, congratulatory speeches by National Assembly members including Bae Hyun-jin, a Supreme Council member, and a finale celebration performance.

A district official stated, "Mayor-elect Seo Gang-seok requested three main concepts for preparing this inauguration ceremony: 'modestly, with dignity, and meaningfully.' He expressed the wish that residents attending would listen only to the inaugural address and then leave, and that it would be good if the district's art groups could perform without incurring additional expenses."

Meanwhile, on the day of the event, residents participating are advised to use public transportation due to limited parking space.
