[Gokseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Cha Jongseon] Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will provide temporary emergency living support funds for low-income households starting from the 24th.

Recently, with prices rising sharply, low-income households are facing a crisis in their livelihoods.

The county decided to provide a total of 900 million KRW in emergency living support funds to 1,950 vulnerable households, including basic livelihood security recipients, legally designated near-poor households, and single-parent families receiving child-rearing support.

The recipients were selected based on residents who met the conditions as of May 29, 2022.

The payment amount varies according to eligibility and the number of household members. Among basic livelihood security recipients, those receiving livelihood and medical benefits can receive from 400,000 KRW for a single-person household up to 1,450,000 KRW for households with seven or more members through this temporary support fund.

Recipients of housing and education benefits, legally designated near-poor households, and single-parent families receiving child-rearing support will receive from 300,000 KRW for a single-person household up to 1,090,000 KRW for households with seven or more members.

The support funds will be provided via anonymous prepaid cards for easy post-management and must be used by December 31 of this year.

Use of the funds is restricted in certain industries such as entertainment, luxury, and gambling.

However, basic livelihood security facility recipients will receive the funds in cash (facility subsidy).

If you are eligible, you can receive the support funds by visiting the local town or township office with your ID starting from the 24th.

A county official said, “We hope this support fund will help ease the financial burden of residents in difficult circumstances even a little, and we will do our best to ensure the funds are provided promptly.”
