[Asia Economy Reporter Bae Kyunghwan] On the 16th, President Yoon Seok-yeol appointed former Democratic Party leader Kim Han-gil as the chairman of the National Unity Committee.

The National Unity Committee is a presidential advisory committee that was previously part of the Presidential Transition Committee and has now been established as a permanent organization. Former leader Kim also served as the chairman of the National Unity Committee during the transition period, overseeing events such as the 'Listening Table'.
