[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Chesys surged to the daily price ceiling on the 27th after the first outbreak of African Swine Fever (ASF) this year in Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon Province.
As of 10:13 AM on the 27th, Chesys is trading at 1,495 KRW, up 30.00% from the previous day. Chesys operates an animal pharmaceutical business through its subsidiaries.
The ASF Central Accident Response Headquarters announced that ASF occurred at a pig farm in Hongcheon-gun the previous day. This is the first ASF outbreak at a pig farm in seven months since October last year.
