[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters took the first step in the Safe Solar Light installation project this year on the 27th, starting with Ongok 1 and 2 villages in Seosaeng-myeon, Ulju-gun.

Saewool Nuclear Power plans to support the installation of Safe Solar Lights at about 250 locations in Seosaeng-myeon, Ulju-gun this year.

The Safe Solar Light installation project, jointly conducted by Saewool Nuclear Power and the Ulju-gun Volunteer Center since 2019, contributes to residents' safety by installing solar-powered LED security lights in the Seosaeng-myeon area to prevent crime and nighttime accidents.

Lee Sang-min, head of Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters, said, "We hope that the installation of Safe Solar Lights will help improve residents' safety and prevent crime," adding, "We will continue to support so that residents can live in a safe environment."

Safe Solar Lights are sensor lights charged by solar power that illuminate at night and are installed in village alleys or remote areas where streetlight installation is difficult.
