Gokseong Introduces 'Seomjingang Mulmeong Trail Walking'

From April 6 to May 31, participation allowed from minimum 2 to maximum 15 people
Last year, over 600 participants left an impression on healing eco travelers
[Gokseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Cha Jongseon] Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it is operating the Seomjingang Mulmeong Trail Walking until May 31.
The Seomjingang Mulmeong Trail Walking is a local stay-type travel product introduced by Gokseong-gun last year for healing eco-travelers.
Without any special promotion, about 600 travelers visited in the first year solely through word of mouth.
Among Korea's five major rivers, Seomjingang is the only one without a sluice gate, preserving its natural ecological environment, allowing visitors to fully experience it in an eco-friendly way.
It is a small group package tour that can start with 2 to a maximum of 15 people.
Travelers can enjoy the trip more freely as a local host (guide) does not accompany them throughout the itinerary.
Instead, through a prior meeting, detailed and considerate guidance is provided so that travelers can travel comfortably and safely on their own without inconvenience.
It is good for enjoying a relaxed local trip at your own pace, regardless of when and with whom you visit.
The first day of the 1-night 2-day trip is a leisurely schedule to walk and enjoy Seomjingang.
A snack package produced directly by Gokseong residents and amenities containing Gokseong travel souvenirs are provided.
While walking, a lunchbox is delivered at the time and place promised during the prior meeting so that travelers can have lunch overlooking Seomjingang.
Eating a lunchbox while taking in the full view of Seomjingang and feeling the gentle river breeze is a small luxury that only a healing trip can offer.
On the morning of the second day, breakfast is delivered to the accommodation.
After the meal, travelers can participate in a forest self-kit or forest healing program at the National Gokseong Healing Forest according to the number of travelers.
Traveler A from Geumsan, Chungbuk said, “I loved the trip last fall so much that I came back again this year with my friends. It was a trip that exceeded my expectations as always. I am already looking forward to the autumn Seomjingang.”
The Seomjingang Mulmeong Trail Walking is part of the local travel product ‘Gokseong Yeogiae’ planned jointly by Gokseong-gun and the cooperative Seomjingang Dukkeobi.
