[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Damyang-gun, Jeonnam announced on the 27th that it will hold an exhibition of Korean Gasa literature works at the Damju Arts District Gallery from the 2nd to the 8th of next month for seven days.


This exhibition is planned to introduce the Korean Gasa Literature Museum, display a list of past Gasa works, and exhibit about 20 Gasa works including Jeong Cheol's Seongsan Byeolgok and Song Sun's Myeonangjeongga, aiming to promote the cultural and historical value of Gasa literature and increase accessibility to it.


In addition, related books such as the quarterly magazine Today's Gasa Literature, the selection of 100 Korean Masterpieces of Gasa, award-winning works from the Gasa Work Creation Contest, Gasa poetry collections, Nujeong series, and newly written Gasa literature, as well as woodblock-printed Gasa works, will also be exhibited.


Furthermore, the exhibition plans to promote the annually held Korean Gasa Literature Festival, Gasa Poetry Recitation Contest, and Youth Gasa Rap Festival.


A county official said, "This exhibition is a special exhibition that can only be experienced in Damyang, the acknowledged hometown of Gasa literature," and added, "We ask for many visitors from interested residents and tourists."


Meanwhile, the county is promoting the 'Korean Gasa Literature Museum Living Culture Center' project with a budget of 1.5 billion won to enable everyone to easily enjoy Gasa literature.
