[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation announced on the 27th that it will hold a wood carving exhibition titled "Engraving the Heart on Wood (心刻)" by the Korea Art Love Culture Association, a group of artists from the Daejeon area, at the special exhibition hall of the Currency Museum from the 26th to the 8th of next month.
The Korea Art Love Culture Association is an organization formed by artists active in fields such as wood carving, calligraphy, and resin fluid art.
The exhibition was planned with the purpose of sharing understanding and empathy about the art of engraving with wood with the citizens.
The exhibition will showcase over 40 works including Chae Hwa-shin's "Poet Na Tae-joo 作 Sajanga," mentor artist Kim Byung-chan's "Chusa Kim Jeong-hui's Sehando," Kim Jong-seop's "Beginning Mind," Yeoul An Yoo-jin's "Seungmu," and invited artist Iljuk Byeon Ki-chan's "Father, Let Your Will Be Done."
Lee Kang-won, deputy director of the Minting Corporation, said, "We hope that by sharing the good hearts of the artists engraved on wood, citizens exhausted from COVID-19 will have a healing time."
