원본보기 아이콘[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Homeplus announced on the 27th that it will begin accepting summer semester members on a first-come, first-served basis at 114 cultural centers nationwide starting from the 28th.
The summer semester at the cultural centers will run from June 2 to August 29, offering a total of 61,500 courses. Reflecting recent trends, courses such as financial planning for the 2030 generation, pet family companion animal classes, and the "Hello Today" program have been prepared.
Family-oriented cultural experience events that all family members can participate in every weekend have been increased by 40% compared to the spring semester. Events include carnation flower candy & message cards for Parents' Day, music dates with mom and dad called Music Garden, and the Tomato Festival, a summer night nature exploration.
Signature courses available only at Homeplus Cultural Centers offer an additional 10,000 KRW discount on top of a 30% reduced tuition fee. There are also special 100 KRW lecture events such as Korea Board Games' "Board Game Experience with Dad" and Homeplus signature meal kit making. Existing members have the opportunity to register one day earlier and receive a 15% tuition discount for one day only on the 28th.
A Homeplus official said, “To celebrate the full recovery of daily life following the lifting of social distancing, we have planned diverse cultural center content that all generations can enjoy,” adding, “We hope everyone will have a happy cultural outing time creating precious memories together by attending the courses.”
