[Asia Economy New York=Special Correspondent Joselgina] Kamala Harris, Vice President of the United States, tested positive for COVID-19 on the 26th (local time).
Vice President's spokesperson Kirsten Allen released a statement that day, announcing that Vice President Harris tested positive on both a rapid COVID-19 test and a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test.
The 57-year-old Vice President Harris showed no symptoms and will work from the residence in isolation. She will return to the White House after testing negative. Previously, Vice President Harris had received two booster shots.
Spokesperson Kirsten confirmed that Vice President Harris had not been in close contact recently with President Joe Biden or First Lady Jill Biden.
