[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The so-called 'Geomsu Wanbak' (complete removal of prosecutorial investigative authority) bill passed the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee subcommittee on the 26th.

The Democratic Party of Korea unilaterally processed the amendments to the Prosecutors' Office Act and the Criminal Procedure Act during the bill review subcommittee in the afternoon, while the People Power Party walked out.

The Democratic Party also plans to hold a full committee meeting of the Legislation and Judiciary Committee on the same day to process the bill. The full committee meeting is expected to convene about two hours later, around 9 p.m.
