KH Group, K Shopping and GF Sign Business Partnership Agreement... Developing Live Commerce Specialized Products

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] KH Group is set to activate live commerce with K Shopping to sell tangible and intangible assets such as the Pyeongchang Alpensia Resort.


On the 26th, Bang Gyusik, CEO of KH Gangwon Development, Jeong Giho, CEO of KT Alpha, and Park Sungkyu, CEO of GF Interactive, held a "Digital Content Co-production and Business Partnership Agreement (MOU)" ceremony at the K Shopping Media Center in Mokdong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul.


KH Group plans to promote and distribute its tangible and intangible assets through various sales channels such as K Shopping's mobile live commerce and TV applications (APP).


Since KH Group operates Alpensia Resort, the comprehensive media group IHQ, and the KH sports team, it is expected to create synergy effects through diverse resources. K Shopping has been expanding its business area through "Live K," a simultaneous live broadcast on mobile and TV apps, since last year.


The three companies also plan to develop new revenue models such as NFT content development using intellectual property (IP) secured by IHQ. NFTs are various types of digital content such as videos, images, and music that are assigned unique identification values using blockchain technology.


IHQ is KH Group's comprehensive media and entertainment company, owning various representative works including "Delicious Guys." It operates a total of four cable channels: IHQ, IHQ drama, IHQ Show, and Sandbox Plus.


KH Group will also establish a tangible and intangible product sales model through the sports teams it supports to secure brand competitiveness. KH Group supports elite sports development, including the Philux Judo Team, which includes Tokyo Olympic medalists Jo Guham and Ahn Changrim, as well as the IHQ ice skating team and Goyang KH football team.


Bang Gyusik, CEO of KH Gangwon Development, said, "Through the MOU, we will be able to present various tangible and intangible products owned by KH Group to customers," adding, "We will provide differentiated services to secure brand competitiveness."
