[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] The Korea Exchange, the National Happiness Foundation, and the Together Foundation announced on the 26th that they have signed a business agreement for the 'Support Project for Cultural and Arts Education for Children in Social Welfare Facilities.'
Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to carry out various collaborative projects aimed at closing the educational gap for children from vulnerable groups and creating public service-type senior jobs. This year, senior professional instructors with extensive experience in the cultural and arts fields will provide diverse cultural education services to children at local children's centers.
To this end, the KRX Foundation has allocated a budget of 50 million KRW to support cultural education programs at 15 local children's centers in the Busan area, and plans to gradually expand the target recipients and educational programs in the future.
Chairman Son Byung-doo stated, "We plan to continuously support children so that they can nurture their dreams and grow emotionally healthy and happy," adding, "For seniors, this will be a great opportunity to challenge a second chapter in life as professional instructors sharing their experience and talents."
